Shine Armor Listing Case

📄 Case Entry: Shine Armor – Product Detail Page (PDP) Misrepresentation (ASIN B0CWVD9XLF)

Summary:
After being prevented from relisting ASIN B07LHB3B2Q due to an unresolved restriction (see Shine Armor Policy Abuse Case), I pivoted to selling ASIN B0CWVD9XLF. For 1–2 months, I fulfilled orders successfully. However, I began receiving returns and negative seller feedback based on a title discrepancy. The ASIN was materially altered to state “32 oz” in the title — despite the product always being 16 oz total (typically 2×8 oz bottles or 1×16 oz bottle). This qualifies as unauthorized Product Detail Page (PDP) manipulation under Amazon’s policies.

🔍 Timeline of Events:

  • January 2025: Began selling merchant-fulfilled on ASIN B0CWVD9XLF
→ Title stated “Fortify Quick Coat – 16 oz”
  • May 2025: Shifted to FBA for the same ASIN
→ Title still accurately reflected 16 oz
  • Mid May 2025: Received returns and negative feedback
→ Buyers claimed the item was not 32 oz
  • Late May 2025: Contacted Shine Armor
→ Response was evasive; soon after, the title was changed to “2×16 oz” (also inaccurate)
  • Late May 2025: Submitted reports via Seller Support, Brand Registry, and Executive escalation
→ No correction made; no acknowledgement of PDP alteration

📌 Documentation Submitted to Amazon:

  • Archived customer orders and photos showing 16 oz total volume
  • Email correspondence with Shine Armor reflecting evasion and lack of clarity
  • Evidence of a material listing change that violates Amazon’s PDP modification policy

⚠️ Unjustified ASIN Modification:

  • Original title correctly described the item as 16 oz
  • Listing was modified to reflect “32 oz” (not true)
  • Later changed to “2Ă—16 oz” despite product still shipping as 2Ă—8 oz or 1Ă—16 oz total
  • Shine Armor declined to explain the discrepancy when contacted directly

🎯 Current Status (as of May 31, 2025):

  • Product listing still misrepresents total volume
  • Customers continue to expect 32 oz based on PDP title
  • Negative feedback and returns attributable to listing manipulation
  • Amazon has been formally notified, with no corrective action taken

đź’¬ Commentary:

This case reflects a serious violation of Amazon’s Product Detail Page policy — involving a material misrepresentation of product specifications. The listing was altered to display a volume not present in the item shipped. This misled customers, prompted returns, and impacted seller reputation. I submitted multiple forms of evidence to Amazon, yet no correction has been made to date.

Amazon’s continued inaction — despite receiving documented evidence — raises questions of negligence under their own listing integrity standards and seller protection protocols.

I’m not building a website. I’m building a case.

June 6, 2025: The site was revised for clarity and professionalism, not to change the facts. The underlying claims and documentation remain exactly the same.
