Advertising Double Billing

๐Ÿ“„ Case Entry: Amazon Advertising โ€“ Duplicate Billing Dispute (Invoice TRKK4V8KQ-64)

Summary:
Amazon Advertising billed me twice for the same charge and has yet to offer a resolution, despite receiving clear documentation of the duplicate payment. This issue has remained unresolved for over two months, despite repeated contact and full evidence submission.

๐Ÿ” Timeline of Events:

  • March 2025: Amazon issued Invoice TRKK4V8KQ-64 for $588.08
โ†’ Payment cleared successfully (confirmed by official bank statement)
  • Later: Amazon issued Invoice TRKK4V8KQ-68 for $616.81
โ†’ This invoice included the same $588.08 already paid under -64
โ†’ A second billing was applied for the same charge
  • Total paid for one ad cycle: $1,204.89 โ€” nearly double the expected amount

๐Ÿ“Œ What I Provided to Amazon:

  • Bank statements confirming full payment of both invoices
  • Proof that no refunds or reversals occurred on either transaction
  • Clear demonstration that no rebill was necessary

โš ๏ธ Amazonโ€™s Response:

  • Initially claimed payment for Invoice -64 never cleared
  • Asserted they never received the funds
  • Maintained the rebill under -68 was valid
  • Suggested a refund had been issued โ€” despite documentation to the contrary

๐ŸŽฏ Current Status (as of May 31, 2025):

  • Amazon has not provided internal proof of any refund, failure, or reversal
  • No refund has been issued for the duplicate billing
  • A formal correction has been requested, with escalation options now underway, including:
    • Bank chargeback
    • Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) complaint
    • FTC and state Attorney General filings
    • Referral to Amazon Legal and Executive escalations

๐Ÿ“ฉ Key Email Acknowledgement

Figure 5: June 3, 2025 โ€“ Amazon Advertiser Support email confirming Invoice -64 was paid. No refund was ever issued.

After nearly 75 days of follow-ups, Amazonโ€™s own support team confirmed in writing that Invoice -64 was successfully paid and cleared. This confirmation undermines the justification for the duplicate billing under Invoice -68, and no refund or reversal has been documented to date.

“We have confirmed that the charges are cleared in the invoice: TRKK4V8KQ-64.”
โ€” Amazon Advertiser Support, June 3, 2025

This case illustrates the difficulty sellers face when trying to resolve billing discrepancies on the platform. Despite clear documentation and an eventual internal admission, Amazon has yet to issue a refund or offer resolution.

๐Ÿ’ฌ Commentary:

This situation highlights a critical lack of accountability in Amazonโ€™s internal billing dispute process. Despite clear documentation and extended good-faith efforts, resolution has not been offered. The supporting documentation is complete, and this public record has been created to preserve transparency and timeline continuity as escalation proceeds.

Iโ€™m not building a website. Iโ€™m building a case.

June 6, 2025: The site was revised for clarity and professionalism, not to change the facts. The underlying claims and documentation remain exactly the same. While I prefer to avoid arbitration, I will initate cases to restore my account.
